How To Make Potato Gnocchi

Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
Instructions

Boil the potatoes in a large pot until they are tender. Drain and let cool slightly.

Peel the potatoes and pass them through a potato ricer or mash them until smooth.

In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, flour, salt, and egg. Mix until well combined.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Divide the dough into small portions and roll each into a rope about 1 inch thick.

Cut each rope into small pieces, about 1 inch long.

Use a fork to create ridges on each piece of gnocchi.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook until they float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes.

Remove the gnocchi from the water using a slotted spoon and transfer to a serving dish.

Serve hot with your favorite sauce or topping.
