How To Make Orzo with Chicken and Broccoli Recipe

A hearty, comforting pasta dish with tender chunks of chicken, fresh broccoli, and delicious orzo pasta.

  • 12 oz orzo pasta
  • 2 chicken breasts, cubed
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for cooking


  1. Cook orzo pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add broccoli and garlic. Cook until broccoli is tender.

  4. Add chicken broth and heavy cream to the skillet. Bring to a simmer.

  5. Add cooked orzo, cooked chicken, and Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Stir until everything is evenly coated in the sauce.

  6. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
