Ingredients
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup flour, for coating
- 2 tbsp butter, for frying
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, garlic, allspice, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.

Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides.

Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the flour and stir until it turns golden brown.

Gradually whisk in 1 cup of beef or vegetable broth until the mixture thickens.

Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer for an additional 10 minutes, until they are cooked through.

Serve the Scandi meatballs hot with mashed potatoes or lingonberry sauce.
