How To Make Meatballs with Vine Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 500g ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil (for garnish)
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.

Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.

Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, and sugar to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

Gently place the meatballs into the skillet, making sure they are submerged in the sauce.

Cover the skillet and simmer over low heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.

Serve the meatballs with the vine tomato sauce over cooked pasta or with crusty bread.
