Layers of sweet-tangy sauce, smoky and juicy grilled beef patties, crisp bacon, and onion rings, makes up this easy-to-make burger recipe!

  • 1lbground beef
  • ½cupgreen onions,chopped
  • ½tspgarlic powder
  • ½tspcayenne pepper
  • 2tbspsteak seasoning
  • 4hamburger buns
  • 2tbspbutter,melted
  • ¾cupbarbecue sauce
  • 1tbsphoney
  • 8bacon,thick slices, cooked crisp
  • 8onion rings,frozen, prepared according to package directions
  • 4Borden® American Cheese Singles slices
  • 4tomato slices
  • fresh lettuce


  1. Combine the ground beef, green onions, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper, then form into 4 patties. Sprinkle both sides with steak seasoning.

  2. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours.

  3. Brush the buns with melted butter, set aside. Mix the barbecue sauce with honey in a small bowl, and set aside.

  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

  5. Grill the burgers for about 4 to 6 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.

  6. 2 minutes before the burgers are finished, grill the buns, butter side down, until golden brown. Place the cheese singles on burgers to melt.

  7. Serve each burger on a buttered bun topped with 2 slices crisp bacon and onion rings, honey barbeque sauce, lettuce and tomato. Enjoy!
