Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, mix flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.

  2. Dip each chicken breast into buttermilk, then coat with the flour mixture. Repeat this step for a second time, ensuring the chicken is fully coated.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or Dutch oven to 350°F (175°C).

  4. Fry the chicken, a few pieces at a time, for about 6-8 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.

  5. Remove the chicken from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
