How To Make Crispy Turnip “Fries”

Fries don’t always have to be the regular, straight-cut potatoes. Not only are they the best go-to snack for many, but they also they pair excellently with other meals as a fun add-on. Have some not-so-ordinary fries with these best fries recipes.

Ingredients

  • 4 large turnips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Peel and cut the turnips into long, thin strips.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the turnip strips and toss to coat evenly.

  4. Spread the turnip strips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until the turnip “fries” are crispy and golden brown.

  6. Serve immediately.
