Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine the chicken, celery, bell peppers, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.

  4. In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and sliced almonds. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the chicken mixture.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.

  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
