How To Make Gas Grill Turkey Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-pound) turkey
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons dried rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons dried sage
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the gas grill to medium-high heat.

  2. Rinse the turkey and pat dry with paper towels.

  3. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried thyme, dried rosemary, dried sage, salt, and pepper to make a seasoning paste.

  4. Rub the seasoning paste all over the turkey, including the cavity.

  5. Place the turkey on the preheated gas grill with the breast side facing up.

  6. Close the grill and cook for about 15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) when measured with a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh.

  7. Rotate the turkey occasionally to ensure even cooking.

  8. Once the turkey is cooked, remove it from the grill and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.

  9. Serve the grilled turkey hot and enjoy!
