How To Make Lemon & Thyme Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, thyme leaves, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.

  3. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the turkey patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and no longer pink in the center.

  4. Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, or until lightly charred.

  5. Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked turkey patty on the bottom half of each bun and topping with desired toppings.

  6. Serve the lemon & thyme turkey burgers with a side of sweet potato fries or a fresh salad.
