How To Make Baked Pork Chops with Sauerkraut

Ingredients
- 4 pork chops
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Season the pork chops with salt, black pepper, and paprika on both sides.

Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the pork chops and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.

Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until the onion is softened.

Add the sauerkraut, chicken broth, and Dijon mustard to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

Place the pork chops on top of the sauerkraut mixture in the skillet.

Cover the skillet with foil and transfer to the preheated oven.

Bake for 30 minutes until the pork chops are cooked through.

Remove the foil and broil for an additional 3-4 minutes until the pork chops are nicely browned.

Serve the baked pork chops with sauerkraut, spooning the sauerkraut mixture over the chops.
