  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp saffron threads, crushed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Sliced almonds for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the almond flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and saffron.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract.

  5. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and level the surface with a spatula.

  7. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.

  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  9. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
