How To Make Spicy Pies with Sweet Potato Mash

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
- 2 cups cooked sweet potatoes, mashed
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat and sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.

Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

Stir in the cumin powder, paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another minute.

Add the tomato paste and beef broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.

Stir in the frozen peas and carrots and cook for another 5 minutes.

In a separate pot, heat the mashed sweet potatoes with milk and butter until warmed through. Season with salt and pepper.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Divide the beef mixture into 4 individual pie dishes or ramekins. Top with the sweet potato mash.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pies are golden and bubbling.
