How To Make Purple Sprouting Broccoli Orecchiette with Almond Crumb

Ingredients
- 12 oz orecchiette pasta
- 1 lb purple sprouting broccoli, trimmed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions

Cook the orecchiette pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Meanwhile, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the purple sprouting broccoli and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the cooked pasta and purple sprouting broccoli to the skillet. Toss to combine and season with salt and pepper.

In a separate small skillet, toast the breadcrumbs and sliced almonds over medium heat until golden brown.

Sprinkle the almond crumb mixture over the pasta and broccoli. Serve hot with grated Parmesan cheese.
