How To Make Mushroom & Chickpea Burgers

Ingredients

  • 8 oz mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the mushrooms, chickpeas, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  2. Use a potato masher or fork to mash the mixture until well combined.

  3. Shape the mixture into 4 patties.

  4. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  5. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until browned and crispy.

  6. Serve the mushroom & chickpea burgers on buns with your favorite toppings.
