How To Make Crunchy Cauliflower Cheese

Ingredients
- 1 large cauliflower, cut into florets
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Steam or boil the cauliflower florets until tender, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour to make a roux, cooking for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.

Slowly whisk in the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 1/2 cups of the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.

In a separate bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese.

Arrange the cauliflower florets in a baking dish and pour the cheese sauce over them. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the top is golden and crispy.
