How To Make Caramelised Onion Tart

- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 4 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp of butter
- 2 tsp of brown sugar
- 1 tsp of balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the onions and cook until they become soft and translucent, about 10 minutes.

Sprinkle the brown sugar and balsamic vinegar over the onions and continue cooking for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelised.

Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Spread the caramelised onions evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.

Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the onions and season with salt and pepper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.

Let the tart cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
