How To Make Baby Potato Fondants

Ingredients

  • 12 baby potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Wash the baby potatoes and slice off a small section from the bottom of each potato to create a flat surface.

  3. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add the butter and olive oil.

  4. Once the butter has melted, place the baby potatoes in the skillet, flat side down.

  5. Season the potatoes with salt and pepper.

  6. Cook the potatoes for about 5 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and crispy.

  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.

  8. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the potatoes cool for a few minutes before serving.

  9. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves and serve hot.
