How To Make Vanilla Bean and Chocolate Chip Cookies
A classic cookie recipe with a twist of vanilla bean and chocolate chips.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 vanilla bean, scraped
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large bowl, cream together butter, white sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in egg, egg yolk, vanilla extract and vanilla bean until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and stir until just combined.

Fold in chocolate chips.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.

Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
