How To Make Snowman Cake
A festive and adorable cake shaped like a snowman, perfect for winter celebrations.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- Decorations: marshmallows, chocolate chips, candy canes
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
-
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
-
In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
-
Gradually add the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients.
-
Divide the batter in half. In one half, mix in the cocoa powder until well combined.
-
Spoon the vanilla batter into the center of the greased cake pan, and then spoon the chocolate batter around the vanilla batter to form the snowman shape.
-
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely before removing from the pan.
-
Once cooled, place the cake on a serving platter. Dust with powdered sugar to resemble snow.
-
Use marshmallows to form the snowman’s head and body. Decorate with chocolate chips for eyes, a nose, and buttons. Use candy canes for arms.
-
Serve and enjoy!
