  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot of boiling water, blanch the green beans for 2-3 minutes, until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced almonds and toast until golden brown, stirring frequently.

  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

  4. Add the blanched green beans to the skillet, tossing to coat in the butter and almond mixture.

  5. Squeeze the lemon juice over the green beans and season with salt and pepper to taste.
