  • 2 pound beef chuck roast
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the beef roast with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.

  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together beef broth, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce.

  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the roast on all sides.

  4. Transfer the roast to a slow cooker and pour the sauce over it.

  5. Add garlic, onion, carrots, and celery to the slow cooker.

  6. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the roast is tender and easily falls apart.
