Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 can of tomato sauce (8 oz)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil.

  3. Cut the core from the cabbage and gently remove the leaves, blanching them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes and then rinse with cold water. Set aside.

  4. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, onion, and garlic. Add paprika, oregano, salt, pepper, and tomato sauce. Cook for 5-7 minutes.

  5. In a bowl, beat the egg and add the meat mixture.

  6. Spoon the mixture onto each cabbage leaf and roll tightly.

  7. Place the rolls in a baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes.
