  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.

  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add the sugar and mix well.

  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  8. Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares.
