  • 1 cup fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 shallots
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the parsley, cilantro, garlic, and shallots. Pulse until finely chopped.

  2. Transfer the herb mixture to a bowl and add the red wine vinegar, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine.

  3. Let the chimichurri sauce sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
