How To Make Cheese & Marmite Scones
These savory scones combine the rich flavors of cheese and marmite for a delicious treat.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp Marmite
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten (for brushing)
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture and use your fingers to rub it in until it resembles breadcrumbs.

Stir in the grated cheddar cheese and Marmite until well combined.

Gradually add the milk, stirring until the dough comes together.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times to bring it together.

Roll or pat the dough out to about 1-inch thickness and use a round cutter to cut out scones.

Place the scones onto the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with the beaten egg.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the scones are golden brown and cooked through.
