Ingredients

  • 4 tuna steaks (6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, and sesame seeds.

  2. Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper, then coat them with the sauce mixture.

  3. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the tuna steaks for 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to desired doneness.

  4. In a large bowl, mix together the shredded cabbage, carrot, cilantro, green onions, rice vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  5. Serve the sesame tuna steaks on top of the slaw.
