Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 cup IPA beer
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup golden syrup
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
- Whipped cream or ice cream, for serving
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a food processor, combine the flour, butter, and salt until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually add the beer and process just until the dough comes together.

Press the dough into a greased tart pan, covering the bottom and sides evenly.

In a medium saucepan, heat the golden syrup, lemon zest and juice, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract over medium heat until well combined and heated through.

Remove from heat and stir in the bread crumbs until the mixture thickens slightly.

Pour the treacle filling into the prepared tart crust.

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.

Allow the tart to cool before serving.
