Ingredients

  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup treacle
  • 1/2 cup porter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a bowl, combine oatmeal, treacle, porter, flour, and salt. Mix well.

  3. Press the oatmeal mixture into a 9-inch tart pan to form the crust.

  4. Arrange the apple slices on top of the crust.

  5. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon. Drizzle the mixture over the apples.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.

  7. Allow the tart to cool for a few minutes before serving.
