Ingredients

  • 4 slices of crusty bread
  • 2 medium beetroots, roasted and sliced
  • 100g Wensleydale cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Place the sliced bread on a baking tray and toast in the oven for 5 minutes until crispy.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together the honey, thyme leaves, salt, and pepper.

  4. Remove the toasted bread from the oven and spread a generous amount of the honey mixture onto each slice.

  5. Top each slice with the roasted beetroot slices and crumbled Wensleydale cheese.

  6. Return to the oven for 10-15 minutes until the cheese has melted and the tartines are golden brown.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
