Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 200g of cooked ham, diced
  • 100g of blue cheese, crumbled
  • 2 eggs
  • 200ml of heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry onto a baking sheet and prick the surface with a fork.

  3. Bake the pastry in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until lightly golden.

  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.

  5. Spread the diced ham evenly over the partially baked pastry.

  6. Pour the egg mixture over the ham, making sure it’s evenly distributed.

  7. Sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese over the top.

  8. Bake in the oven for an additional 20 minutes until the filling is set and the tart is golden brown.

  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

  10. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves and serve warm.
