Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of frozen puff pastry
  • 1 cup of morel mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 2 oz. of blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry and place it in a tart pan.

  3. In a pan, sauté the morel mushrooms until soft and slightly browned.

  4. Spread the mushrooms evenly on top of the puff pastry.

  5. Sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese over the mushrooms.

  6. In a bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, eggs, salt, and pepper.

  7. Pour the custard mixture over the mushrooms and cheese.

  8. Bake the tart for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. Let the tart cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
