- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, and salt.

Gradually whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.

Gradually whisk about 1 cup of the hot milk mixture into the beaten eggs.

Pour the egg mixture back into the saucepan and cook, stirring constantly, for another 2 minutes.
