Whiskey Pumpkin Pie Recipe

With the autumn season coming in, so means the festivities and the food. For dessert, instead of the traditional pumpkin pie recipe, give our recipe a go by adding some whiskey to the mixture. The adults will go head over heels for this.


Your traditional pumpkin pie recipe just got better with some whiskey.

Ingredients

  • 15 oz 100% pure pumpkin
  • ½ pint whipping cream
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tbsp whiskey
  • ½ tbsp Vermont maple syrup
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 9 inch pie crust, unbaked

Instructions

  1. Mix pumpkin with whipping cream.
  2. Add eggs,one at a time, mix after each addition.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves and salt.
  4. Add to pumpkin mixture.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Pour into pie shell.
  7. Bake in preheated 425-degree F oven for 10 minutes.

  8. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 45 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
  9. Cool completely.
  10. Spread whipped topping on top of pie and sprinkle with walnuts.
  11. Refrigerate leftovers.
