  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 pre-made pie crust (sugar-free or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, applesauce, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cornstarch. Mix well until the apples are coated.

  3. Place the apple mixture into the pie crust and spread it evenly.

  4. Cover the pie with the second pie crust or create a lattice pattern with strips of pie crust.

  5. Bake the apple pie in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.

  6. Allow the pie to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature.
