What better way to get you in a happy mood than having a slice of pie? These baked dishes are perfect for those who can’t get enough of flaky pastries. From an apple variant to a lemon meringue, these pies pastries recipes will satisfy your pie and pastry cravings.

Ingredients

  • 4 Granny Smith apples
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons turbinado sugar (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples.

  3. In a large bowl, toss the apple slices with lemon juice.

  4. In a separate small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and flour.

  5. Add the sugar mixture to the apples and toss to coat evenly.

  6. Unroll one pie crust onto a lightly floured surface.

  7. Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut the crust into 8 triangular slices.

  8. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture onto the wider end of each slice.

  9. Starting at the wider end, roll up each slice, carefully tucking in the filling as you go.

  10. Repeat with the second pie crust and remaining apple mixture.

  11. Place the apple pie slices onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  12. Brush each slice with melted butter and sprinkle with turbinado sugar if desired.

  13. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.

  14. Allow the apple pie slices to cool for a few minutes before serving.
