Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the fresh pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Mix well.

  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs until well beaten. Add the evaporated milk and whisk until combined.

  4. Pour the pumpkin mixture into the egg mixture and stir until well blended.

  5. Pour the pie filling into the unbaked pie crust.

  6. Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes.

  7. Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (180°C) and continue baking for another 30-35 minutes, or until the center of the pie is set.

  8. Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool completely before serving.

  9. Serve the homemade fresh pumpkin pie chilled or at room temperature.
