Ingredients

  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup fruit preserves (your choice of flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and butter until smooth.

  3. Gradually add in the flour and powdered sugar, mixing until a dough forms.

  4. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.

  5. Cut out circles using a round cookie cutter or a glass.

  6. Place a small spoonful of fruit preserves in the center of each dough circle.

  7. Fold the dough over the filling, pressing the edges together to seal.

  8. Place the kolacky on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  9. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

  10. Allow to cool before serving.
