  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Place the pie crust in a pie dish and set aside.

  3. In a saucepan, melt the butterscotch chips over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat.

  4. In a separate saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually whisk in the heavy cream.

  5. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.

  6. Remove from heat and stir in the melted butterscotch chips and vanilla extract. Let cool slightly.

  7. Arrange the sliced bananas in the pie crust. Pour the butterscotch mixture over the bananas.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the filling is set.

  9. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving.
