How To Make Butterscotch Cream Pie Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 pie crust
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 2 cups of milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tbsp of butter
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Bake pie crust for 10-12 minutes, then set aside.

In a saucepan, mix brown sugar, cornstarch, and salt.

Gradually stir in milk and add egg yolks.

Cook mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened and bubbly (about 10 minutes).

Remove mixture from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract.

Pour filling into the baked pie crust.

Cool pie for 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Top with whipped cream before serving (optional).
