- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch square baking dish.

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until well combined.

In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon zest until smooth and creamy.

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom of the greased baking dish.

Arrange the sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese layer.

Pour the batter over the strawberries, spreading it out to cover them completely.
