- 320g plain flour
- 80g oats
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp treacle
- 350ml buttermilk
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, baking soda, and salt.

Add the treacle and buttermilk to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for a minute.

Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it onto the prepared baking tray.

Use a sharp knife to score a cross on top of the loaf.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
