- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Sprinkles or colored sugar, for decoration
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.

Roll dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place on a greased baking sheet.

Flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass, dip the glass into sprinkles or colored sugar for decoration.

Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
