Ingredients

  • 4 cups of sliced peaches
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a 9×9 inch baking dish, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Mix well.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, salt, baking powder, and remaining 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.

  4. Stir in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until a thick batter forms.

  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the peaches, covering them as evenly as possible.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the cobbler topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.

  7. Allow the cobbler to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
