Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix gently until well combined.

  4. Add in the vanilla extract and mix again.

  5. Pour the batter into a greased and lined round cake tin.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before removing from the tin.

  8. Slice and serve.
