- 4ozbutter,unsalted
- ¾cupsugar
- 3eggs
- 1cupcake flour
- 2tbspdry powdered milk
- 1tbspcorn syrup
- 1tbsplemon juice
- ¼tspsalt
- ½tspvanilla
- ¼tspnutmeg
- ½tspbaking powder
- ¼tspmace,optional

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Cream sugar and butter together until light and fluffy. Add eggs 1 at a time and mix well.

Add in flour, powdered milk, baking powder, and corn syrup. Beat each in well.

Add the lemon juice, salt, vanilla, nutmeg, and mace. Make sure everything is well blended, and pour into a greased loaf pan of 9x5x2½-inch.

Bake at 325 degrees F for 45 minutes, checking for doneness by inserting a toothpick and seeing if it comes out clean.
