  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 cups sliced apples
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Arrange pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish.

  3. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Toss until evenly coated.

  4. Pour apple mixture into the prepared pie crust.

  5. Top pie with butter and cover with another pie crust.

  6. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.

  7. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown and apples are tender.

  8. Let pie cool for 30 minutes before serving.
