  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons of orange zest
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.

  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the orange juice and zest to the egg mixture and mix well.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
