  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a trifle dish or individual serving glasses, layer half of the sponge cake cubes at the bottom.

  2. Top the cake with a layer of mixed berries.

  3. Pour half of the vanilla custard over the berries.

  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining sponge cake, berries, and custard.

  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the whipped cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until stiff peaks form.

  6. Spread the whipped cream over the top layer of custard.

  7. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

  8. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
