How To Make Chocolate Fondant

Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 200g unsalted butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 150g granulated sugar
  • 100g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease 4 ramekins with butter.

  2. Melt the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until well combined.

  4. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and mix well.

  5. Sift in the flour and cocoa powder, and stir until just combined.

  6. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  7. Divide the batter evenly among the greased ramekins.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still gooey.

  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.

  10. Carefully invert each fondant onto a serving plate.

  11. Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
